Kimo Theatre hosts film festival for students

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A festival put high school and college students under pressure to act quick and produce results.

The Film of Flight Festival was open to all high school and college students in the state of New Mexico.

This festival gave students only 72 hours to create a script, film and edit a movie. On midnight on the third day, the movie was due.

The film had three key components that had to be included: A character, line, and a prop that was given to them at the kickoff of the three day race to the finish.

The students will showcase their films Friday, March 13 at the Kimo Theatre from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

General admission for film showings is free to the public and hosted by Warehouse 508 and NMX and Film.
