ALBUQUERQUE (AP) – Albuquerque police have arrested a 32-year-old man who allegedly tried to run over a bond agent before shooting at another person.

Police say Carlson Jones was captured Friday night after jumping out of a third-floor window of a hotel to elude arrest.

According to police, bond agents were initially there to speak to a woman but reported she and Jones were causing a disturbance.

Police say Jones jumped out of the window in their room and suffered injuries in the fall.

He is being treated at a hospital before being booked into jail.

Authorities say Jones was being sought for absconding from a bond agents had posted when he drove at one of them on Monday.

According to police, he then shot at a passer-by who tried to follow him. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
