ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – They have won 8 of the last 12 titles in New Mexico big school baseball. The La Cueva Bears have reloaded and are ready to defend their 2014 crown from last season. It will not be an easy task, but the Bears feel they will be competitive.
“Our big question mark is going to be on the mound. We graduated about 75 percent of our innings 94 percent of our starts,” said coach Gerard Pineda. “We got some guys on the bump who can get the job done, it’s just a matter of getting them some experience early.”
The Bears first game is at Cibola on March 3.
