Mostly cloudy conditions and spotty snow showers are expected to taper by late afternoon. As our storm system nears New Mexico, rain and snow showers will once again increase in coverage across western and central parts of the state overnight into Tuesday.
The storm will pass over the state Tuesday afternoon, clearing the area by late Tuesday night. We’ll take a break from the rain and snow Wednesday with slightly warmer temperatures and sunshine filling in. Another strong cold front will knock the Eastern Plains back down to the 20s and 30s Thursday afternoon with showers possible over the far northeast portions of the state.
A stronger system will move in Friday into Saturday with another round of rain and snow possible for a good portion of the state.
