LUNA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Authorities in Luna County are on the lookout for a man getting donations by pretending to be from a local boxing organization.

Pepe Montoya, who owns the Old Skool Boxing Club in Deming, told the Deming Headlight that 31-year-old Eddie Jacquez is going around saying he is from the boxing club, asking for donations and selling stolen candy bars.

Jacquez has been telling people he is training for an upcoming fight, but Montoya says his non-profit boxing club only trains youth fighters.

If you see Jacquez, call police.
