ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority is asking residents in the southeast to conserve water starting Sunday evening while they repair a transmission pipeline.

Water is scheduled to be shutdown from 6 p.m. Feb. 22 until 6 a.m. Feb. 26. This shutdown is needed in order to replace a critical valve. This will effect residents and businesses south of Interstate 40 and east of Eubank SE.

Water Authority said customers will be served by two adjacent reservoirs which have the capacity to supply service to the area but suggests conserving water just to be safe.

Traffic may also be impacted throughout the week and drivers are being asked to us caution in the area.
