ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – No charges will be filed against two Bernalillo County deputies who shot and killed a suspect. The district attorney released her findings Thursday saying there will be no criminal charges will be pursued against Deputies Matthew Wolke and Larry Tonna.

In September 2012, they fatally shot Samuel Marquez outside his mother’s South Valley home. Marquez had a knife to her throat, refused to put it down and was trying to take her back in the house.

Investigators say Marquez had threatened to kill her before and did kill a neighbor in 1989. He got nine years for that and got more time for stabbing guards while he was in prison.
