Warm temperatures will continue to hold across the state for Friday before big time changes over the weekend. Highs tomorrow will top out in the high 60s in the Albuquerque metro area and the low 60s up in Santa Fe. Then a cold front goes into the Northeast by Saturday and series of storm systems approach the Southwest. Those storm systems will likely deliver accumulating snow to the northern mountains beginning late Saturday and possibly lasting all the way into Tuesday.
The problem with the forecast is, that the models are very much up in the air. Meaning, the forecast seems to change every six hours or so. So we will need another day or so to iron out exactly what’s going to play out over the weekend and into next week. One thing is for sure, we’re likely to see much more moisture on the way then we seen over the past few days.
