TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – Taos deputies have identified a suspect in the murder of a woman, whose remains were found in December.
Ivan Dennings Cales Junior, 50, is accused of killing 33-year-old Roxanne Houston who was reported missing last summer. Her remains were found Christmas Day by a hiker, in rural Taos County.
Investigators haven’t said how they’ve linked Cales to Houston. They do say Cales walks with a cane and is hunched over due to back problems.
Houston is originally from Colorado Springs but moved to Taos shortly before her murder.
They say she died from a blow to the head.
