A quick hitter storm system will slide through the state tonight. The northeast and northern mountains will have the best chance to pileup snow. Along the east slopes of the northern mountains we could see 6 to 12 inches of new snow. Areas like Raton and Las Vegas could pick up as much as 4 to 5 inches of snow by tomorrow morning.
The storm quickly clears the state early on Tuesday leaving behind mostly sunny skies and cool temperatures especially in the East. But by Wednesday statewide we will see temperatures warm and continue to warm through the rest of the work week. There is a renewed chance of more rain and snow by the weekend.
