Jordan Goodman out for the season

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – UNM junior forward Jordan Goodman has played his last game this season. A bone spur on his right foot will require season ending surgery and has shut Goodman down.

Goodman came to the Lobos as the number three junior college prospect in the class of 2014. The juco All American averaged over six points and 2.3 rebounds in 19 appearances for the Lobos this season.

“Mentally it’s hard for me to hang it up because of my teammates,” said Goodman. “You build a brotherhood with your teammates. You get a bond with your coach and it’s like I got to start all over again.”

Goodman was never a hundred percent, ailing from off-season knee surgery and a host of other injuries. He said it hurt him that he could not show Lobo fans his full potential.

Goodman is expected back in about four months and could use next season as a redshirt year if he chooses.
