Chris’ Friday Afternoon Forecast

High pressure has returned and it is going to have a pretty good grip on our weather for the weekend.   Temperatures Friday afternoon are already 10° – 20° warmer in eastern New Mexico and many areas will top out in the 50s and 60s for Friday. Temperatures will continue to climb above average over the weekend before a cold front moves in on Monday into Tuesday.   Right now, it looks like the models are backing away from the intensity of the system, but there’s still a chance for snow in the Northern Mountains and a rain/snow mix in eastern New Mexico.   In Albuquerque, we will have the shot for spot showers with breezy and cooler temperatures.   We’ll continue to keep you posted.
