ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A snowy start to the day for parts of the state.
People in the East Mountains were among those who woke up to some white stuff.
Most of the snow fell above 8,000 feet, below it quickly turned into sleet and rain because of the warmer temperatures.
A gray cloud casts its shadow on downtown Albuquerque on Wednesday morning. Those walking to work quickly covered themselves as rain started to fill the streets.
Some hopped on the bus to avoid getting wet.
It didn’t take long of the sun to pierce through that dark blanket providing residents with a little sunshine.
