ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Big loss for the Lobos on Tuesday night. The Lobos fall to CSU 70-59. The Lobos just didn’t play to their potential in Colorado.

They beat the Rams In their last meeting at home 66-53. The Lobos did not start out good at all. They shot 35 percent from the field that half, and they had 12 turnovers. The big stat was that the Rams had 14 points off of those turnovers and the Lobos trailed 35-19.

The Lobos did start to play better in the second half, out-scoring the Rams 40 to 35, but it wasn’t enough.

The Lobos now fall to 6-6 in Mountain West Conference play. This is the first win for CSU over UNM in five games. The Lobos stay in the seven spot in the Mountain West standings; they are 14-10 overall.

The Lobos will play on Saturday next at Nevada. That game will start at 8 p.m., and it will be broadcast on ESPN 2.
