Group asking DOJ to investigate APD

Brandendburg

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Things have gotten ugly between the Albuquerque Police Department and the Bernalillo County DA, now a watchdog group wants the feds to step in. Watchdog.net has so far collected nearly 1,300 online signatures calling for the Department of Justice to investigate APD.

The group claims the department has been bullying Brandenburg after she charged two cops with murder for the death of a homeless man. APD also is investigating her after bribery allegations in a case involving her son.

Her prosecutors were forced to leave the scene of a recent police shooting. Brandenburg, the DOJ and the city attorney all had no comment.
