Defined Fitness car thieves caught by police

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Police say they’ve caught the car thieves targeting Defined Fitness locations across Albuquerque and one of them was on parole for murder. The thefts started at the end of January with the thieves breaking into lockers and getting people’s keys.

At least seven cars were stolen and others were burglarized over a course of several weeks. The thieves are also accused of stealing at least four vehicles in the city as they were warming up. Police have now arrested 26-year-old Jessie Reeves and 28-year-old Reyanon Duncan.

Reeves has been in the news before, in 2008 he beat and shot his girlfriend in the face after a fight over another woman. He was arrested for that crime, in a stolen car. He served nearly 5 years in prison and was paroled in September.
