Kids spread the love

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Kids are hoping to bring smiles to sick children with homemade Valentine’s Day cards. Kids from Saint Jude Thaddeus Church have been working to create the cards themselves. They will give the cards to kids at the children’s center at Presbyterian Hospital. Volunteers say the kids making the cards enjoy it and the kids receiving the cards need them. The cards will be delivered Friday.

Taos Pueblo noticed for its heritage

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – New Mexico is getting some international attention. MSN Travel acknowledged Taos Pueblo as one of the planet’s 50 most striking world heritage sites. A world heritage site is a place of special or physical significance as determined by the United Nations. Taos Pueblo earned the designation in 1992. New Mexico has three world heritage sites, more than any other state.

Local restaurants make Girl Scout cuisine

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Girl Scout Cookies are tasty enough on their own, but chefs were challenged this weekend to turn them into an all-new dessert creation. Local restaurants were asked to use Girl Scout Cookies in a recipe. There were a variety of desserts to choose from and some restaurants will add the Girl Scout Cookie desserts to their menu.

No one wins Powerball

ALBUQERQUE (KRQE) – Nobody won last night’s Powerball jackpot. It has increased to $450 million. The next drawing will take place Wednesday evening. The biggest Powerball jackpot in history was $590 million.
