One dead, multiple injured in NE ABQ crash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) – Police in Albuquerque say one person has died and multiple people were injured after a two-vehicle crash.

Police spokesman Fred Duran says the accident happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday near the intersection of Wyoming Boulevard and Aspen Avenue.

According to witnesses, a vehicle was spotted driving aggressively and then crashed into another car.

Duran says one driver was pinned in a car and later died at a hospital. Several others including two juveniles have been hospitalized with severe injuries.

Duran did not specify how many were injured or which car was driven by the deceased driver.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the incident.

Traffic on Wyoming was shut down for several hours.
