Natural history museum to host holiday workshop

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – There’s no better way to say, “Be Mine,” than a handmade valentine for your sweetheart.

The Natural History Museum is having a workshop teaching participants how to create an interactive electronic Valentine’s Day card.

This Sunday, Feb. 8, participants will learn the basics of paper design and pop-up engineering. This class will also touch on basic circuits and electricity.

This workshop is part of Start Up Studio’s educational programming, which is dedicated to the history of the microcomputer.

The start-up program includes weekend workshops, summer Girl Scout camps, MLK Day of Creative Coding and much more.

This spring, look for the intro to programming video games, circuit bending, Arduino, a reverse engineering workshop, and brush bot making that includes 3D printing.
