Chris’ Friday Afternoon Forecast

High pressure continues to be in control of our weather, which means more sunshine and warmer than normal afternoon temperatures. Temps will continue to warm into Saturday and many areas especially in eastern New Mexico could tie or set new record highs for the beginning of the weekend. The quiet, sunny, warm weather will continue through the middle of next. That’s when a storm system is going to dive south and sit just to our west over Arizona. That system will pull in moisture to New Mexico triggering rain and the chance for high mountain snow by Wednesday and Thursday of next week. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
