ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A judge is expected to hear more on the case involving three teens accused of brutally murdering two homeless men.

The judge will assess the case during Wednesday’s status hearing.

Last July, Alex Rios, Nathan Carrillo and Gilbert Tafoya allegedly used cinderblocks and a metal pole to beat the men to death. The bodies of Allison Gorman and Kee Thompson were found in a vacant lot near 60th and Central.

Rios is set to go on trial in March. The teens face several charges including first-degree murder.
