ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE)– The Two Eagles balloon crew is very close to the North American coast but they have run into a problem.
Albuquerque pilot, Troy Bradley and his Russian counterpart are still scheduled to cross into North America by tonight.
But they’re now anticipating a change in course because of weather.
They expect to hit a wall as they enter North America meaning they’ll have to head south and enter through Baja California, instead of Canada as planned.
They are still on track to beat two gas ballooning world records.
They have now been in the air for 5 days.
Mission control says they’re getting tired but getting assistance and direction from back here at home.
