ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A man who raped and killed his 1-month-old daughter is facing three possible life sentences. Thursday a jury convicted Juan Galindo of child abuse resulting in death, two counts of child rape, which all carry life sentences and another charge of child abuse for putting his other daughter in danger.
The baby was found dead inside a home near Goff and Bridge in 2011 with two black eyes, bruises, bite marks and severe injuries to her genitals. Galindo claims the baby had choked on a bottle and died. He later admitted to being high on meth.
Sentencing is set for March.
