I-25 open after man ejected off overpass during rush hour


ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – All lanes of I-25 southbound at San Antonio/San Mateo were closed due to a car crash. They have now reopened and all traffic and travel has returned to normal.

According to investigators, the driver lost control of the vehicle which then rolled. The 21-year-old passenger was thrown from the SUV passenger side window.

He was launched over the barrier overpass and fell to sidewalk below on the south side of Ellison. He was seriously injured and transported to the hospital but is currently stable.
