BCSO traffic stop ends in gunfire

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department has released audio that details what went down before one of their deputy’s shot a man.

The officer tased and shot the suspect, and it happened in a matter of seconds.

Listen to part of the audio clip (Warning audio is graphic):

The whole thing started Tuesday night when Deputy Jeff Bartram pulled over Adam Padilla near Central and Unser because his license plate wasn’t visible and he turned without a turn signal. The deputy ran his license and found out it was suspended.

That’s when he told Padilla to get out of the car so he could search him for weapons.
