3 arrested in Tramway party shooting

Juan Anthony Martinez, aka Juan Puentes and Ryan Baca

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Three people have been arrested in connection with the deadly shooting at a party in the foothills Wednesday night.

According to court documents the party was a “plaid party” involving teenagers that got out of control when a few uninvited guests showed up.

Witnesses say 19-year-olds Juan Anthony Martinez, aka Juan Puentes and Ryan Baca, along with a juvenile by the name of Donovan Young, got into a fight with Andrew Junquiera, 22, and may have been trying to rob him during a drug transaction. One of them pulled out a gun and started waving it then shot Junquiera and everyone fled.

Junquiera was found inside the apartment with a gunshot wound and was transported by emergency personnel to UNMH where he was pronounced dead.

All three have been booked on open count of murder, conspiracy to commit a first degree felony and assault with intent to commit a violent felony.  All are being held on no bond holds.  It is believed that the shooter is Donovan Young and he may be charged as an adult.
