CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) – A man wanted by U.S. Marshals for kidnapping a woman has been caught in Carlsbad and authorities say it couldn’t come soon enough because they believe he planned to kill her.
Police say a woman called them saying she had been taken by Jeremiah Looney.
According to the Carlsbad Current-Argus, he was wanted on a federal U.S. Marshal warrant after he violated probation on a 2007 conspiracy murder charge.
Looney was arrested without incident and faces multiple charges including kidnapping and aggravated assault.
