ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – March of Dimes, one of the oldest healthcare charities in the country, is already working toward a big fundraising goal for next year. They have just opened sign-ups for their March For Babies walk, which is happening next May. This year’s Albuquerque walk is presented by Presbyterian Healthcare Services. Paul Briggs, Presbyterian COO, is chairing the event and has assembled an executive leadership team to help them reach their fundraising goal of $260,000.
The walk will take place May 9 at the new Presbyterian Rev. Hugh Cooper Administrative Center, with the route going around Balloon Fiesta Park. They are also looking to recruit new company teams and family teams to raise funds and participate in March for Babies.
March of Dimes strives to both decrease the number of premature births and ensure that those who are born prematurely receive the proper healthcare they need. For more on March of Dimes and their march next spring, visit their website.
