NM photographer releases 2 new calendars

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – For the last several years, Albuquerque photographer Miriam Hall has created two wall calendars: Her first, “Life is a Ditch” is for dog lovers and she donates all profits to Watermelon Mountain Rescue Ranch, the no-kill shelter that serves central and northern New Mexico. The 100 or so dogs featured in the calendar are those Miriam sees when she walks her dog, Fritz, along the North Valley irrigation ditch.

Her second calendar, “Enchanting Views of the North Valley,” includes Miriam’s landscape photos that she takes around the North Valley. The calendars are widely available in shops and stores throughout Albuquerque, as well as in Corrales, Santa Fe and Taos.

Miriam donates some of her calendars to various organizations around Albuquerque to use in their fundraising efforts. These include the Bosque School, Opera Southwest, Assistance Dogs of the West, and CREW which renovates deserving facilities that serve women and children. She also provides Crooked Crane Healing with calendars to sell and the proceeds help to cover treatments for patients who otherwise cannot afford the services.

Miriam is also known for her photograph note cards sold throughout Albuquerque. Many of the images feature Fritz, the family dog, who is an enthusiastic model. For more on Miriam and her photography, visit her website.
