Early morning house fire under investigation

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Firefighters are trying to find out what caused a large house fire in northeast Albuquerque Saturday morning. Albuquerque Fire Department says crews responded to the blaze in the 6600 block of Cypress Point at around 8:45 a.m.

Officials say crews on scene determined the residents of the home were not present during the fire and after approximately 45 minutes the fire was under control.

The house did receive severe fire damage. There were no reported injuries. AFD says the cause of the fire is under investigation.
