UNM football loses to Utah State

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Lobos hopes for Bowl Game contention are now over. The Lobos lost to Utah State 28-21 in Logan on Saturday. The game was back and fourth the entire first half, as Romell Jordan broke free and went 71 yards for the game tying touchdown (14-14).

The Aggies would later lengthen their lead in the third quarter with a big run of their own, making the score 28-14. The Lobos did make a run late in the fourth. Lamar Jordan connected with Tyler Duncan for a 59-yard touchdown, and after that, the PAT the score would be 29-21.

The Lobos would not get the ball again, and the Aggies would hold on to win. The Lobos are now 3-7 overall, and 1-5 in the Mountain West. They play at Colorado State next at 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
