ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The big national news this morning, the gay marriage debate could be headed all the way to U.S. Supreme Court. This is because an appeals court upheld a law in four states banning gay marriage. Federal appeals courts are now split on the issue and that’s why the issue could end up at the Supreme Court.

This morning, it’s official. Albuquerque’s City Council has signed off on the consent decree with the city and the Department of Justice on how to fix APD. They got an earful from a lot of people who were unhappy and don’t think the agreement goes far enough. Now the city has to find a monitor to enforce the changes.
