Police seek CVS robbery suspects

CVS robbery surveillance video

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque police are hoping surveillance video will help identify two men who ransacked a CVS pharmacy. The men held up the CVS on Unser late last month grabbing Oxycodone and Oxycontin pills.

Police say a similar robbery occurred recently at a Walgreens pharmacy. If you have any information about this robbery you are urged to call police.

While powerful opioid painkillers like Oxycontin can help those suffering from acute pain they are also susceptible to abuse. Dependence on prescription painkillers may lead to heroin addiction. And according to the Pharmaceutical Journal Oxycodone’s affect on the brain differs from morphine, in that Oxycodone rises dopamine levels for longer periods of time.
