Dee’s Cheesecake Factory closing

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Duke City will lose a delicious slice of life once a longtime restaurant closes its door next week. Dee’s Cheesecake Factory on Menaul near Carlisle is closing.

The Mager Family sold the name “Cheesecake Factory” to the big national chain restaurant, allowing it to open restaurants here in New Mexico.

“We could stay and change our name, but decided to retire the brand because the name is us, and never change the name” said Lisa Mager, the owner of Dee’s Cheesecake Factory.

The closure will not affect the company’s food service distribution company which supplies food to restaurants.

They have been in operation since 1973.
