Snow ready for first year at Highlands

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Craig Snow is ready to start his first season as head coach at New Mexico Highlands University.

The former University of New Mexico assistant said his three years with the Lobos prepared him for his new job and made it a smooth transition. Coach Snow brought another former Lobo assistant, Brandon Mason, to Highlands with him.

The two men only had a three week window to fill a roster for the upcoming season. Both coaches are from the state of Illinois and that connection helped them bring in eight players from Chicago.

While on the Lobos staff, Snow made a few connections in Australia. That paid off as Snow also added a trio of Aussies to the roster.

KRQE’s Jared Chester spent an evening with Snow and has his story. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
