ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A big name is stumping for Governor Susana Martinez Thursday in her reelection bid. Former presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is in town helping raise money and attention for Martinez who is facing off with democrat Gary King.
Romney and Martinez held a media event Thursday afternoon at the governor’s campaign headquarters in Albuquerque.
There will be a fundraiser tonight at an Albuquerque home.
The governor already has a big fundraising advantage over king.
The latest reports show she had $2.7 million in her chest, King a little more than $100,000.
As for King, he’s spending Thursday campaigning in Las Cruces. He’ll be at the NAACP for a forum Thursday night at City Hall.
