ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Professional baseball players Blake Swihart and Josh Walker took time out of their busy schedules to talk about the game they love to all at the Rio Rancho Baseball camp last Friday.

Swihart and Walker once played together at Rio Rancho High School. Swihart, a catcher, finished his career at Cleveland High School before being taken by the Boston Red Sox as the 26th overall pick in the first round of the 2011 Amateur Draft. Swihart is coming off of his best year in the Red Sox organization. He was promoted to the Pawtuckett Red Sox in AAA this past season. He also made an all-star appearance and led his team to the AAA Championship game. He had to sit out of the final due to a thumb injury.

Walker, a pitcher, just completed his first year in the Baltimore Orioles organization. He was taken in the 22nd round of the 2014 Amatuer Draft.
