ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The weather cleared up and winds ceased enough for balloons to fly from Balloon Fiesta Park on Monday. Hundreds of balloon took flight.

One family’s hot air balloon has been stolen. This would have been Lucinda Wallace and her husband’s 34th year flying their balloon. Lucinda said the balloon was stolen from the parking lot at the Nativo Hotel in Albuquerque on Saturday. The thief took her tan 1994 Chevrolet Suburan and the balloon trailer as well. The balloon is blue with an American flag and rainbow on it. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them.

Social media threats of a shooting at Cibola High School lead to Albuquerque Public Schools cancelling the homecoming dance on Saturday. Police say a sophomore teenager is linked to the post threatening to pull off a shooting. That student is now getting a psychological evaluation.

American diagnosed with Ebola in Liberia last week is now in the U.S. for treatment. The freelance cameraman is at the Nebraska medical center. An official with the Centers of Disease Control says enhanced screening could soon be increased at U.S. airports in Dallas. The first person to be diagnosed on U.S. soil is now in critical condition.
