ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Investigators say the man who robbed an Albuquerque bank Friday may have struck again. FBI investigators say an Albuquerque branch of the New Mexico Bank of Trust located in the 3700 block of 4th Street NW was robbed Saturday morning.
Witnesses say the man entered the bank Saturday around 9:30 a.m. and handed the teller a note demanding money. The teller placed an undisclosed amount of money into the suspect’s black bag and he moved to another teller and demanded more money.
The suspect in Saturday’s robbery matches the description of the suspect in Friday’s Bank of America robbery. Officials say he is believed to be a Native American or Hispanic man in his 30s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was wearing a long black wig, a baseball cap, sunglasses, a black shirt and blue jeans during the robbery.
The suspect left the bank and may have gotten into a red or burgundy-colored Jeep.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact the FBI Field Office at (505) 889-1300.
