CARLSBAD, N.M. (KRQE) – There is some good news for Carlsbad hit especially hard by flooding. The feds and state will help pay the costs of some repairs.
The city council approved a measure Wednesday night, securing more than $250,000. The money will help with the Callaway low water crossing, Pecos River beach area and docks and other smaller projects.
The county also suffered significant damage from floods and dozens of roads remain closed because of mud and debris and asphalt damage. County officials are still assessing the damage and the costs to fix it.
