LA PLATA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A dog near the brink of death is getting a new lease on life thanks to the La Plata County Humane Society. Faith the coonhound was recently dropped off at the shelter starved and extremely underweight.
They say a coonhound her size should weigh up to 50 pounds but faith weighs closer to 23. Since being at the shelter she’s already gained five pounds. The shelter says she’ll be there until she’s healthy enough to be adopted out.
In the meantime, they’re asking anyone who can help with donations for her care. Contact the shelter if you are interested in helping.
