Chris’ Thursday Afternoon Forecast

There’s still enough moisture in place to spark more hit and miss storms later this afternoon.   Areas already pounded by heavy rains in the past week could see some more rain today.    Spot storms are also possible on Friday ahead of our next storm system that will arrive this weekend.   It looks like the core of the system will stay to the north, but there will be enough energy and moisture in place to spark scattered storms in central and western New Mexico as it passes through.    Behind the storm system, temperatures will be falling off to more fall-like temperatures by Sunday into next week.
