ABQ Sunport celebrates 75 years

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The Albuquerque International Sunport is a world-renowned, full-service facility that welcomes more than six million travelers per year. As the state’s largest commercial airport, the Sunport serves as the gateway to the diverse cultures, rich history and breathtaking landscapes that make New Mexico.

The airport is opening its doors to the public to celebrate 75 years of the Albuquerque International Sunport. They are celebrating with a 5k run/walk, airplane pull and family-friendly activities.There will also be live music, food trucks and kids’ activities.

Entrance to the event is free while registration for the run/walk is $10 with a $2 service fee, and registration for the airplane pull is $100 with a $9.50 service fee for a team of 20.

All event proceeds will benefit shelter pets through the Kennel Kompadres organization.
