Workers strained by flooding near Artesia rescued

ARTESIA, N.M. (AP) – The National Guard rescued 40 oilfield workers who became stranded near Artesia due to floodwaters from remnants of Hurricane Odile.

The workers became strained at a drilling location on Friday, but were later brought to a safe location later in the day.
