ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office says the shelter-in-place at Pajarito Elementary School has been lifted. Earlier Wednesday, the school was placed on shelter-in-place because the principal of the school reported shots fired in the area.

According to APS, there were no children in the building, only staff and the shelter-in-place was a precautionary measure as deputies investigated the shooting report. BCSO says all teachers were accounted for Wednesday.

Officials also said there were no victims or suspects located during their investigation.
