ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man wants to know who ran into him and took off.
Sperow Panagoulakos said he was heading south on San Mateo around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. As he approached the intersection of Haines, he said he saw a dark blue Toyota Corolla. Then Panagoulakos said that the Toyota pulled out in front of him, he locked up his rear tire and slammed in the driver side door.
He said his chest took the biggest blow because his handlebars busted into his sternum. He also has cuts to his hands and legs, and is having trouble walking
Panagoulakos spent a few hours at the hospital before being released.
He said he didn’t get a look at the plate, but is positive it was a balloon plate.
This is the third hit and run accident this month. Bernalillo County sheriff’s deputies are investigating one at a Blake’s in the south valley. APD is also investigating one at a Home Depot near Montano and I-25.
“To anybody else splitting the scene, you got to stick around, you know,” Panagoulakos said. “This cat left me for dead. You know, I could’ve been dead.”
Panagoulakos said he has been riding his motorcycle since he was 18-years-old and hasn’t had anything like this happen before.
