ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – There’s a lot of outrage over some racy photos in a Portales high school yearbook . The photo features what appears to be two students in the nude. They’re posing for the category “Most Likely to Skinny Dip.” It was seen by a teacher before it was published but the district says another pair of eyes will look over the yearbook before it’s published in the future.

Police in Albuquerque are looking for the person responsible for leaving a suspicious device at Highland High School. It happened yesterday. Cops say a student found a device outside a school building with a note that said, “if you touch it you’ll die.” The bomb squad destroyed the device with no problems.

Albuquerque’s mayor has signed off on letting voters decide three big issues this November. The measures include, if councilors should approve or remove police and fire chiefs picked by the mayor, amending the special elections process, and letting the city issue bonds for projects. The only hurdle now is that Bernalillo county commission will decide if the measures will make it on to an already crowded ballot.
