New Mexico High School FB Thursday

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Albuquerque High gets close but is turned back by the Del Norte Knights in one of three high school football games in the metro area Thursday night. The Bulldogs, who have a 1 and 40 record dating back to 2010, finished just inches away from a possible score that would have given them an opportunity for either a tie or two point conversion. They would fall to Del Norte 35 to 28.

The Valencia Jaguars rebounded from a shutout last week to beat West Mesa 48 to 3. At Wilson Stadium the Rio Grande Ravens gave head coach Pat Quillen his first victory at the school in a 38 to 20 victory over the Highland Hornets. Hornets coach and former Lobo Stacy Washington is still in search of his first win with the Hornets.
