The rain has finally worked its way into the state. In fact we’ve already seen between 2 and 4 inches of rain over the Sacramento mountains.
Widespread storms will continue to be a factor specially over southern and eastern section sections of the state on Friday. A cold front nudging into the Northeast will help to intensify storms there and could lead to localized flooding. Continued flooding will also be a risk in the mountains of the South.
As far as the metro area goes, we will not be the focus of the heaviest rain but we could pick up showers overnight and throughout tomorrow afternoon as well. As we head into the weekend the chance for storms will continue once again favoring the south and east.
