ABQ Man indicted for fracturing infant's skull

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A grand jury has indicted an Albuquerque man, Philip Duran, accused of fracturing his baby’s skull.

It happened last month when the 5 month old girl and her mother were visiting him at an Albuquerque hotel.

Police say Duran got angry about not seeing his daughter enough. That’s when he allegedly threw the baby – who was still in her car seat – down a flight of concrete stairs.

Duran is also accused of punching the baby’s mother more than 30 times. He is charged with child abuse, and aggravated battery on a household member.

He remains jailed at MDC on a $100,000 cash-only bond.
